It is with great pleasure that I announce that last night Thomas Duryea was named as Australian Microsoft Desktop Partner of the Year. This award recognises TD as leaders in the Desktop Automation and Systems Management market, and is a testament to our strong technical skills in deploying Microsoft technologies.

I would personally like to thank all of our customers for their support of TD over the years, especially where we have worked together with you to optimise the desktop. For over 12 years we have been designing desktop solutions and it is the success of these projects in your environments that has given us the skills to be the best Microsoft Desktop Partner in the country.

Melbourne, Australia —5 September, 2012— Today, Thomas Duryea Consulting proudly announced it has won the MAPA 2012 Microsoft Partner of the Year Award for Desktop Partner of the Year. The company was chosen out of a national field of top Microsoft Partners, including Data#3 and Dilignet, for its work over the past 12 months delivering market-leading customer solutions using Microsoft technologies.

This is the second time Thomas Duryea Consulting has received recognition from Microsoft for its work in the desktop solutions space. Earlier this year the company was runner up in the Worldwide Microsoft Partner of the Year awards in the same category.

Andrew Thomas, chief executive officer of Thomas Duryea Consulting said he was thrilled to receive top honours from Microsoft. “Thomas Duryea has delivered desktop automation solutions since its inception in 2000, so naturally, to be acknowledged by Microsoft as its leading partner in this category, is a huge achievement and validation of our success in building this area of the business.”

Thomas adds that in the past two years Thomas Duryea has seen rapid growth in demand for desktop solutions, with the company’s Enterprise Information Systems Practice delivering thousands of Windows 7 desktops to some of the largest organisations in Australia.

Notable deployments include assisting Western Health, a major provider of health services in metropolitan Melbourne, to run Microsoft Systems Centre Configuration Manager 2007 alongside Citrix XenApp, on Microsoft virtualisation platform Hyper-V. As well as building an automated workstation management solution for AEMO (Australian Energy Market Operator) to deploy, control and upgrade their computers to Windows 7 effectively.

Rhys Evans, national practice manager of Thomas Duryea’s Enterprise Information Systems Practice attributed the award to the company’s strong team of architects and engineers.

“We have an incredible team of highly skilled architects and engineers who work tirelessly to deliver successful desktop solutions to our customers. Our team, combined with Thomas Duryea’s desktop automation methodology and Microsoft products such as Windows 7, Office 2010 and Configuration Manager, allows us to successfully automate and rapidly deploy large-scale desktop upgrade projects, with little to no- downtime for our customer’s staff.”
